Samantha & Calvin de los bosques de Robin Hood a Puerto Deseado
Ayer por la tarde llegaron Samantha y Calvin, dos jóvenes ingleses de la Ciudad de Nottingham (Tierras muy cercanas a los bosques de Sherwood y Barnsdale donde la leyenda cuenta que vivió el habil arquero y defensor de pobres y oprimidos, Robin Hood)
Ellos están realizando un viaje de 4 meses por Sud-America, acababan de arribar a Puerto Deseado con deseos de remar. La condición meteorológica se mantenía óptima, asi que con la ayuda de un pequeño mapa de la ria planeamos la ruta que íbamos a recorrer y en cuestión de minutos, las afiladas proas de nuestros seakayaks volvían a cortar las aguas de la ria en dirección a la Isla Larga.
Desembarcamos en la mencionada isla con el propósito de tomar unas fotos a los pingüinos de Magallanes que allí nidifican, tomamos los cuidados necesarios para evitar que los pequeños pingüinos quienes nacieron hace pocos días se asustaran y corran fuera de sus nidos quedando desprotegidos y expuestos a la vista de las aves predadoras.
Luego zarpamos con rumbo al Islote de los Lobos donde antes de llegar les advertí que no se asustaran si los lobos marinos se nos acercaban y nadaban junto a nuestras embarcaciones, pero la sorpresa fue para mi, cuando ellos me confesaron que en Ecuador habían estado navegando en canoas por ríos donde podían ver una gran cantidad de cocodrilos....!
Los lobos marinos estaban muy sociables, nadaron a nuestro alrededor y hasta nos salpicaron con algunos saltos que dieron muy cerca de nosotros, una comitiva de ellos nos acompañó por un buen tramo cuando emprendimos nuestro viaje de regreso.

Yesterday in the evening arrived Samantha and Calvin, two young Englishmen of the City of Nottingham (Lands very close to the forests of Sherwood and Barnsdale where legend said that the skilled archer and defender of the poor and oppressed, Robin Hood lived)
They are travelling by 4 months for South America, had just arrived in Puerto Deseado with a desire to paddle.
The weather remained optimal, so with the help of a small map of the internal harbour we planning the route we were going to go and few minutes later, the sharp forward of our seakayaks were cutting the waters again in the direction of the Long Island.
We disembark in the above-mentioned island for the purpose of taking some pictures to the Magellanic penguins that nest there, we took care necessary to prevent that the small penguins who were born a few days ago might panic and run away from their nests being exposed and unprotected to the light of predatory birds.
Then sailed due to the Islet of the Sea Lyons before arriving where they warned that if they do not fear the sea lions we were approached and swam alongside our kayaks, but the surprise was for me, when They confessed that they had been sailing in Ecuador in canoes on rivers where they could see a large number of crocodiles ....! The sea lions were very friendly, swiming around us and until we are tarnished with some jumps that were very close to us, a group of them accompanied us for a good stretch when we started our return trip.
